My Review:
Everything was awesome about this movie! I laughed the whole time and couldn't have been more entertained. The jokes were funny and well thought out. The kid I took with me was so engaged in the film he was quoting it all was I :) I am actually seeing it again this week and look forward to owning it. This is a film for the whole family. You don't have to have any batman knowledge to understand it which was great. It has a great message about the importance of family and teamwork but without sounding preachy. It is a 100% recommend.

Review of the Novel: Royal Deception

Royal Deception

By: Denae Christine

Rating: 3.5 Glasses

Half glass ratings are not my norm but I was torn with this book. I really liked the premise but the beginning was rough for me. It was a lot of information to take in right from the beginning and it took me out of the story a bit just to try to understand who was who and what was what. Now once I got an understanding and the story really began I enjoyed it. It was a interesting and intriguing story that I would love to see more of. So if you give it a shot work past the beginning and keep is worth it.

My Review:
This was adorable! The music was well placed throughout the film and helped keep things moving. I saw this twice actually before I reviewed it. Both groups of kids I took loved it. It kept their attention and gave them characters to root for. I will say I missed a little bit of the jokes thrown in for the adults as this one lacked in those jokes but at the end of the day this film was for children.

Review of the Novel: The Reaper Realm

The Reaper Realm

By: K.A. Lentz

Rating: 4 Glasses

This book is obviously a first book in a series. There is a lot of set up and exposition to create this world. However the problem is that it slows the story down a lot. I know it is necessary for the reader to learn about how the world they are entering works but there was almost too much. Now that being said it was very well written and the story was perfectly flushed out. I did enjoy reading it and I look forward to more from this author.

Film Friday: Assasin's Creed

Assassin's Creed

The Breakdown: When Callum Lynch explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society. (From

My Review:
Video Game adaptations don't normally go well. I think the problem is that when you take a game like Assassin's Creed that has had many different games under its belt it hard to please everyone. I have never really played the game so I luckily went into this film without any pre-set ideas on what it should be. However, this film was way to confusing for such a basic premise. I love Michael Fassbender and his performance was, as always, amazing. The actors were not the problem with this movie. It was the overly confusing plot. The jumping from present day to the past was clear but the storyline was not. The action was great and the music wonderful which in conjunction with the great performances by an amazing cast were this film's saving grace. I hope that if they decide to do another one they will focus on one time period and one storyline.

Review of the Novel: The Girl in the Time Machine

The Girl in the Time Machine

By: Debra Chapoton

Rating: 4 Glasses

A well developed thriller. When I read the description of this book I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it but it surprised me. I was expecting a run of the mill revenge on bullies that goes bad however what I got was a well thought out story and interesting characters. At times however the timelines caused me some stress as I struggled to keep track of where they were in time but other than that it was a great book that I would recommend for my fans of science fiction.
